The Emberhold Dwarves can trace their lineage back to the ancient Earthen-beings of stone—shaped by the world's primal forces. Over millennia, they awakened and evolved into stalwart warriors, master blacksmiths, engineers, miners, and exemplars of dwarven ingenuity. By remaining hidden, deep within their mountain holds, they survived the Cataclysms that reshaped the surface world of the first age, preserving a history that spans longer than many other peoples, with formidable kingdoms built safely deep within their earthen holds. Their story is a rich tapestry of struggle, craftsmanship, and deep reverence for the earth and its treasures.
Battalion Commander Uruk
However, one dwarf stood apart. Battalion Commander Uruk, known for his pioneering spirit and the ability to galvanize his peers—dared to envision a broader destiny for their kind, and chose a different path. Heeding the Lion’s call Uruk joined his army of Radiant Marines in fierce battles against the armies of shadow. His leadership and valor on the battlefield were instrumental in several key victories, marking him as a hero in the eyes of many.
The Emberhold Dwarves have forged a formidable army, leveraging their mastery of heavy forges and explosive mining techniques. And as Battalion Commander Uruk, you will lead them into battle. This powerful force, composed of artillery, riflemen, and other mighty siege weapons, strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies. The mere sight of them advancing can send adversaries fleeing, only to be pursued relentlessly as the Dwarves rain down artillery and lay waste with their legions of riflemen.
Once they occupy enemy territory, they control it as if it were their own, swiftly maneuvering towards vulnerable points in their adversaries' defenses. With each strategic strike, they shock and awe, demonstrating their superior military prowess and engineering capabilities.
Ironfront Battalion
Dwarves of Emberhold lived mostly in the peace of their sanctuary, and while The Lion rallied forces for the Radiant Wars he waged against the Shadow, they declined to join the fray. Their focus remained steadfast on their ancient forges and the intricate labyrinths of their underground kingdom, unwilling to venture out into the turmoil that engulfed the surface.
Swiftly taking territory and attacking the enemy on their own turf is the Ironfront battalions main offense. While shaking the earth with artillery, and shelling the enemy with rifles—they charge face first into battle, dawning extravagant heavy armor that strikes fear in their enemies.
FURY

Their society is built around the mighty forges and expansive mines that pepper the Ironforge Mountains. Their culture celebrates durability, reliability, and skill, evident in every aspect from architecture to daily life. The safety of their mountain holds have enabled the Emberhold Dwarves to meticulously trace their lineage for generations, inspiring them to build upon their legacy making them unmatched masters at their craft. Social status within their community is often gauged by one’s expertise in metallurgy, gem cutting, or engineering.

"At the very sight of our forces they will run—and we will follow... our artillery as it rains down upon them"
- Battalion Commander Uruk
Upon his return to the Emberhold, Uruk found himself changed by the experiences and landscapes he had witnessed. With tales of a world reborn from the ashes of conflict, he passionately appealed to the Council of Emberhold. His vivid recounting of the new age and its possibilities ignited a fervor among the dwarves, a fervor to extend their influence beyond their mountain sanctuaries. Through strategic petitions and persuasive storytelling, Uthruk successfully rallied an army—an army intent on reclaiming the Furylands from the wildlings and greenskin beasts that thrived in its harsh, fiery expanses.

Leveraging their unmatched engineering ingenuity, the dwarves of Emberhold constructed an army equipped with formidable technology. They unveiled powerful cannons and artillery, and their legions of riflemen were clad in magnificently crafted armor, each piece a testament to the dwarven mastery of metallurgy. This military force, aptly named the Emberhold Battalions, was not just a display of raw destructive power. It embodied the shock and awe of dwarven craftsmanship, showcasing their ability to combine the concussive force of their mining heritage with the superior armaments forged within the safety of their mountain holds.
